Below you will find our key operational policies and answers to common questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the release process take?

The internal review takes 48–72 hours. After that, custody transfer paperwork is submitted to the detention center, which schedules the official release. This may take an additional up to 24 hours depending on jail operations.

Why is the monthly monitoring fee non-refundable?

This fee covers the costs of 24/7 monitoring, compliance reporting, and administrative oversight, regardless of program completion.

Can I get a refund if I withdraw from the program early?

Setup/device deposits may be refundable if equipment is returned in good condition and there were no program violations. Monthly monitoring fees are non-refundable.

Who has final authority on releases?

Final release is always at the discretion of the county detention center. While GJI and the USA Relief Program provide expedited support, detention centers may delay releases based on internal schedules.

What protections are in place for my payment?

  • All payments are securely processed through third-party financial partners.
  • Funds must clear through our system before release procedures begin.
  • This ensures compliance with federal standards and protection for all parties.

What makes this program effective?

Our structured system of accountability and support helps reduce recidivism, strengthens community safety, and provides families with peace of mind.
